The complete workflow

Every tool the motion needs.
Nothing it doesn’t.

Kinetra2D keeps rigging, deformation, timing, audio, and export in one coherent workspace—so you stay focused on the character.

Rigging

Build a skeleton that makes sense.

Draw parent-child bone chains directly over your artwork. Every joint stays visible, editable, and easy to reason about.

Deformation

Bend pixels, not your process.

Turn any attachment into an editable mesh and shape smoother motion with direct vertex control.

Timeline

Motion stays readable.

Key transforms and mesh poses on a focused dopesheet with stepped, linear, and eased interpolation.

Audio cues

Hit every beat.

Place, trim, loop, and mix sound cues alongside the animation they belong to.

Runtime export

From canvas to game without translation.

Export skeletons, texture atlases, and sounds for one Scene or every scene in a project.

From art to runtime

A clear path from still
to alive.

No handoff maze. One visual workflow carries your character all the way into the game.

01

Bring your artwork

Drop in layered PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF assets and arrange the scene on a responsive canvas.

02

Build the rig

Draw a bone hierarchy, bind attachments, and add a deformation mesh wherever the motion needs it.

03

Shape the motion

Pose, key, preview, and refine each clip on a timeline designed to keep the important details close.

04

Ship your character

Download a backend-generated ZIP of skeletons, atlas images and JSON, and sounds.

Built for the handoff

Your animation belongs
in the runtime.

Export the character once and integrate it with a lightweight PixiJS adapter. Skeleton data, textures, and sound travel together.

  • Clean, documented package
  • Texture atlas included

Questions, answered

The useful details.
Up front.

Still curious? Open the designer and explore the workflow firsthand.

Open the designer
Does Kinetra2D run in the browser?

Yes. The designer is a focused browser workspace, so there is no heavyweight desktop install between your artwork and your animation.

What can I import?

You can bring in PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF image assets, plus common audio formats for timeline sound cues.

What does an export contain?

Exports contain skeleton JSON, atlas PNG and JSON, and sounds. Export one Scene with all of its clips, or an entire project with every Scene.

Where are my editable projects saved?

Projects and Scenes are saved in your cloud workspace. Uploaded artwork, sounds, and PNG previews are stored in object storage. Share a linked project to collaborate or send someone an independent clone.
